Academically, I am highly impressed with this school’s curriculum. The kindergarten program is excellent and the best that I’ve seen and heard of from montessori schools between Palos Verdes and Manhattan Beach.

Every month the curriculum covers a social studies topic, a composer, an artist, science and zoology among other topics. The depth of the subjects is detailed and the kids love learning the subjects.

One of my concerns was my child’s public speaking skills and this school and more importantly the teacher, Ms. Fazreen, have helped him to grow into a confident speaker in front of a large group of people. For example, in the winter concert, there were about 150 people and each and every student in the kindergarten class had some lines to read. Every kindergarten student performed greatly considering the large group of people.

The outside play area is simple but it is large for children to play in. Each class has its own time outside. The kids have lots of play space to be imaginative, creative and to play together.

I can’t say enough great things about South Bay Montessori! Let me begin by saying Teacher Teresa and Teacher Nour rock! My daughter started when she was 18 months old and Miss Veronica was VERY patient with me calling sometimes three times a day to check in on my baby girl. Now my daughter is 21 months and she loves her school the environment is amazing. The facility is extremely clean I visited other schools prior to enrolling my daughter here and I didn’t feel comfortable at the others schools. The director was the one that gave me the tour of the school and I felt an amazing vibe the minute I walked into the school. If you’re a first time mama like myself and looking for an amazing school for your LO please consider South Bay Montessori and if you can and your child is in the age group request Teacher Teresa she’s AMAZING!!
